WADDEN, Henry. (Henny) Peacefully at The Montreal General Hospital on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at the age of eighty-eight. Husband of the late Caroline Shaw. Dear father of Marilyn McGeary, Kenneth (Jocelyne), Lloyd, Richard (Wanda), Elizabeth (Denys). Loving grandpa to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Survived by numerous family and friends in Cape Breton. Hennie was the last living member from a family of nine brothers and sisters originating from Scaterie Island/Main-a-Dieu, Cape Breton.
Proud member of the Canadian Army for over twenty-eight years. Also long time employee of Montreal Engineering Company.
Many thanks to his caregiver Helene Roy for her kindness and compassion over the past few years.
Visitation at Demers Funeral Home, 231 Laurier Blvd., Beloeil, Friday, October 20 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, October 21, 12 noon to 1 p.m. Service to be held at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Richelieu Blvd., McMasterville, Saturday, October 21, 2 p.m. Reception to follow at Royal Canadian Legion, 19 Choquette St., Beloeil, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Montreal General Hospital Foundation or The Montreal Association for the Blind.
