John Ronald 'Winky' Hall
1949-2006, Louisbourg
It is with great sadness that we, the family of Winky Hall announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather which occurred at home, Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2006.
Born in Main-a-Dieu, he was the son of the late John J. and Mary Elizabeth (nee) Hall.
An avid fisherman, Winky was a carpenter and a boat builder by trade.
Survived by his wife, Elizabeth; stepmother, Mary Hall; his children, Bernice (Troy) and Marilyn, both of Sydney, Jimmy (Shannon), Cal¬gary; grandson, Spenser; and stepson, John, Austria; sisters, Linda (Lome), Catalone, and Sharon, Main-a-Dieu; brothers, Eddy (Car¬oline), Reggie (Eileen), both of Main-a-Dieu, Glen (Diane), Brickyard, Kelly (Lori), Louis¬bourg, and Graham (Jean), New Waterford and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for the late Winky Hall will take place 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 and 2-4 and 7-9. p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 in Stella Maris Church, Louisbourg. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 30 in Stella Maris Church with Fr. Patrick O'Neill officiating. Burial to follow in Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery, Main-a-Dieu.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association or a charity of choice.
